ANTAIOS POWER developed a customized QSB6.7-M marine engine configuration for a high-speed sport fishing boat. The vessel is a 12.9-meter Chinese-built fiberglass sport fishing boat with an enclosed pilothouse and a maximum speed of 32 knots. The vessel's gearbox reduction ratio is fixed, and the vessel's speed is controlled primarily by adjusting the engine speed.
The vessel required the engine to support three distinct operating conditions:
The engine is subjected to a high load during rapid acceleration and must be capable of operating under high-speed cruising conditions.
The vessel also requires low-speed and trolling-speed operation capability, with the low idle speed adjustable to approximately 600 rpm.
The vessel speed is controlled by adjusting the engine speed.

The engine has a compact, box-shaped profile, a low overall height, and a lightweight design. The ship's hatch is rectangular, which greatly facilitates shipyard lifting operations and quick engine replacement.
The marine configuration integrates a seawater pump, a seawater-to-freshwater heat exchanger, and an intercooler to meet marine cooling requirements;
A hydraulic power output interface is reserved, which can simultaneously supply power to the gearbox shift mechanism and hydraulic steering system.
Saltwater corrosion protection: All seawater circulation pipelines, heat exchangers, and intercoolers are coated with saltwater-resistant anti-corrosion coatings, which can resist high-salinity seawater corrosion and reduce scaling and blockage.
The engine is equipped with electronic throttle control and is compatible with a mechanical cable throttle system. It can connect directly to the cable-operated throttle lever of an existing vessel, making it suitable for both new-build and repower projects.
The supplied instrument panel supports fault-code communication and can read all basic operating data of the engine in real time. Fault diagnosis is simple and subsequent maintenance is easier.
